Two Legendary 18-Hole Courses
Your home is set against a backdrop of two distinct and captivating courses, each with its own unique character.
The Championship Colt Course (Lower)
This is a championship course designed to offer plenty of challenge and variety for the experienced golfer.
The Setting: Set under the gaze of the South Downs’ Cissbury Ring, the course journeys through rolling hills and a sweeping valley.
The Design: A masterful blend of chalk downland heritage and Harry Colt’s innovative philosophy, it demands precision and poise.
The Experience: The course is defined by its dramatic topography, strategic bunkering, and fairways that wind through wildflower roughs and ancient woodland in the South Downs National Park. With excellent drainage, it remains one of the most renowned, captivating, and testing courses in Sussex.
The Vardon Course (Upper)
The Vardon Course celebrates the surrounding landscape, offering a different but equally rewarding challenge.
The Setting: Perched along the ridges of the South Downs National Park, it offers incredible panoramic views of the Sussex coastline, from Beachy Head to the Isle of Wight.
The Design: Originally designed by six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon in 1905, it was artfully updated by Harry Colt in 1925.
The Experience: Though shorter than the Colt, the Vardon presents a subtler challenge with narrower margins and undulating terrain. Its exposure to the winds rewards control over power, making it a course where all abilities feel welcome and where every round is a story worth telling.
This prestigious club is not just near Hollybank — it is its backdrop, its playground, and its community. This is the lifestyle that awaits you.
